Here is what parents have to say about Montessori Cares.

Our family is very pleased with the progress our children have made at Montessori Cares.  The classroom materials are high quality, and the instruction provided to the children is loving, highly efficient and entirely in keeping with the true Montessori Method.  With these combined elements, our children have successfully mastered many skills necessary for reading, writing and math.  The environment at Montessori Cares will naturally give children the self esteem necessary for a lifetime of learning.  Already, our children are reading above their age level, and have not yet even entered kindergarten!  We highly recommend Montessori Cares.

RE: About Montessori...

"This program is great!!! My niece attended the Montessori school on Kathryn St. for only a few months and has learned a great deal. She is four years old and knows all her abc's, numbers, learned to write and even learned phonics. It is definitely worth sending your child here. I have been to the location and there is a great set-up, lots of activities and best of all structure."

Both of our girls, ages 5 and 3 are in their second year of attendance at Montessori Cares with Ms. Majeed. We feel that as an instructor, Ms. Majeed has inspired and guided their education and personal development toward great results.

Prior to enrolling our children in the program, we investigated and visited several other pre-schools and pre kindergarten prep schools. Our main concerns were the social and educational development of our children in this important moment of their lives.

Ms. Majeed and her Montessori program address the whole child concept. Education is stressed and equally so their development of social skills, communication, personal hygiene, physical development, manners, interaction with a group, sharing and expressing themselves for their needs, wants, fears, acceptance and more.

Both of our children are well prepared or becoming prepared as in the case of our youngest, to enter public or private schools where class size will offer much less personal contact with their teacher and authority.

As for the educational development, Ms. Majeed’s Montessori program is all educationally based; hands on skills by art projects, reasoning through problem solving, health by exercise and personal hygiene, sight and depth perception by painting and other art projects; drawing puzzles and the like.

As for pure educational concepts, reading, writing and math, the lessons are very well chosen for each individual.

There is  a strong emphasis on phonics and the use of proper language, letter and word recognition, the alphabets and how the letters sounds are used, written and form meanings.

My wife and I are both university educated and in summary are very pleased with our children’s growth , development and ever increasing awareness of the world around them.

We are so pleased with Montessori Cares that we are very eager to share our experience with parents who are considering Montessori Cares as a valuable tool towards their children’s future.

Sincerely,

Christine and R. Gary Andrus. Ph.D.

Our daughter Adrien has attended Montessori Cares in Hillsboro Oregon since January 2006.

Ms. Majeed is an amazing educator who is passionate about children. The atmosphere of the school, the incredibly rich and nurturing learning environment , the academic opportunities, dedication and love are what make Montessori Cares an exceptional place.

Not only has Adrien grown in her education over the last two and a half years, but also she ahs shown emotional growth in that she has learned respect, responsibility and what it means to be a good friend. The importance on fostering respect and community within the classroom is amazing.

Ms Majeed and her committed staff spend a large amount of individual time with the students. Adrien received so much individual time when learning reading, spelling and math which have resulted in Adrien having a great sense of pride for her learning and allowed her confidence to soar.

We have been so fortunate to have Adren in this program. We could not have asked for a better start on her educational journey.

Sincerely,

Chuck and Leah hagele

Maya is our 7th child, so we’ve had children in almost every educational setting imaginable. Two of the children we taught to read before they started kindergarten. Some of our children have attended preschool, others not.  Some went to private school, others were in public schools. By the time we were looking for a preschool for our youngest daughter, we knew what we wanted, and we found it in Montessori Cares.

Montessori Cares does an excellent job of introducing educational concepts to the pre-school age children in such a way that the kids have fun and at the same time build great foundations for more advanced learning. The kids are encouraged to challenge themselves but are also allowed to expand their knowledge at their own pace, and are rapidly introduced to topics not included in many pre-school environments. It is not uncommon for our Kindergarten-age daughter to discuss subjects like square-roots and multiplication, and she is not afraid of learning new things.

Adeela….this is hard!  Both Chris and I have tried writing this.  How can we convey in a few sentences that Maya loves to learn?  You have set up a learning environment where she loves to go to school. She loves for the weekends to end so she can go back to school, see her friends, and do her work.  She is constantly learning new things, seeing success, never coming home in tears because she is stressing out because of a test, or being compared to other students.  You have set Maya up for success in learning because of your caring and loving and believing in the children.   We appreciate you more than we can ever convey.  Thank you!
